FourPercent uses local browser storage for useful product behavior, can request public currency-rate data for conversions, uses Google AdSense for advertising, and only loads optional analytics when you allow it.
This page explains what is stored, what may be requested, and what choices you have.
Analytics are optional
Non-essential analytics are only intended to run when consent allows them. You can reject them and still use the calculators.
No user account required
FourPercent does not require a login or personal financial profile to use the public calculators.
What the site stores in your browser
- Selected currency so calculators and examples can stay consistent between visits.
- Saved calculator inputs where a page intentionally remembers the last scenario you entered.
- Consent choices for optional analytics technologies.
- Short-lived cached exchange-rate data on pages that support currency conversions.
This storage is used for product behavior, not to create a personal account or financial profile.
Live currency and public data requests
Some pages can request public data so the site can show fresher currency conversions or dataset snapshots. That may include requests to Supabase-backed endpoints used by FourPercent to serve public site content or currency-rate information.
Those requests help the calculators work, but they do not create a user login or a private portfolio account on the site.
Optional analytics
If analytics consent is granted, FourPercent may use Google Analytics to understand broad site usage patterns such as page views, approximate geography, device type, browser type, and interaction trends. The purpose is product improvement, not individualized financial profiling.
If consent is not granted, the site should remain usable without optional analytics.
Your privacy choices
- You can reject non-essential analytics and continue using the site.
- Use “Analytics preferences” in the footer to change the analytics choice. Google’s separate privacy and cookie settings link manages advertising consent where its message is available.
- You can clear local storage directly in your browser if you want to remove saved preferences and cached values.
Advertising and Google AdSense
FourPercent uses Google AdSense to support the free tools. Ad availability depends on Google approving the site. Google and its advertising partners may process IP addresses, device information, cookies and similar identifiers to deliver, measure and prevent fraud in advertising. Where consent is required, advertising choices are presented through Google’s consent management platform. You can consent, decline or manage individual choices.
These advertising choices are separate from the optional Google Analytics control. When Google displays its consent message, you can revisit advertising choices through the privacy and cookie settings link it adds at the bottom of the site. Declining optional analytics or advertising consent does not disable the calculators.
Hosting and public-data providers also receive technical information, such as IP addresses, when your browser requests a page or data. Calculator inputs are stored in your browser; they are not sent as financial profiles to the advertising or analytics services by FourPercent.

Saved scenarios and share links
The full plan, saved scenarios and tax examples are stored locally in this browser. They are not uploaded as account profiles. You can delete saved scenarios with their Delete buttons or clear the site's browser storage. Downloaded files remain wherever you save them.
Creating a share link encodes the current financial assumptions in its fragment. Anyone you give the complete link to can read those amounts. Scenario names are excluded. When a shared link opens, the plan fragment is removed from the address before analytics or advertising scripts load. FourPercent does not send calculator input values as analytics events. Do not share a link containing amounts you want to keep private.
